The “Crank
Case Vacuum System” (CCVStm) was originally designed to solve the numerous
problems encountered with engines of all sizes when on boost. Most problems are
caused by boost entering the crank case thru the PCV valve as the PCV valve
can’t block the boost. It was only natural that the KrankVent™ with its’ unique
& patented performance could be applied to the solution. The current
solution is now available & described in the Installation Instructions. The
main features of the Turbo Kit & CCVS are:
- AT IDLE w/
BOOSTED & NORMALLY ASPIRATED (NA) ENGINES:
- The small KV,
with 3/8” hose barbs, acts as if not present
(open).
- The larger
KV, with 1/2" hose barbs, is normally closed at idle except to release
high-pressure crank case pulses & builds the crank case vacuum, along with
the high intake manifold vacuum w/ throttle closed.
- ON
BOOST: The small KV
closes & blocks the boost from entering the crank case. The large KV
continues to build/maintain crank case vacuum!
- Air/fuel
mixture is blocked from entering crank case.
The
small KV will contain well over 75 lbs of boost! Go for it!
- Oil &
fuel is no longer blown into intercoolers, intake tracks, fouling plugs &
blowing clouds of oil out the exhaust, & popping dipsticks! You know the
scenario!
- NORMALLY
ASPIRATED engines
benefit even though boost is not present!
- The crank
case vacuum produced greatly increases engine efficiency, piston ring seal,
performance, & lowers emissions.
